Pastor:  Rev. Douglas Rumley
     Pastor Rumley came to New Salem Baptist Church in 1996. He previously served as Associate Pastor of Bogue Falaya Baptist Church in Folsom, Louisiana, Pastor of Pineview Baptist Church in Moultrie, Georgia, and Hopeful Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia, as well as Interim Pastor of Lake Wylie Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
     For his education, Rev. Rumley earned the Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Georgia Southern University, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
He was married to his wife Helen on June 8, 1985, and they have four children, Jonathan, Laura, Caroline, and Daniel.

Minister of Music & Youth:  Mr. Frank Casstevens                                                            
     In his 35th year of service at New Salem Baptist Church, Frank serves as the Minister of Music & Youth.  He is a graduate of Wingate University with a B.S. degree in Music and Business and holds a Master's degree from Winthrop University in the Art of Teaching.  He currently serves as chair of the Union Baptist Association's Youth Committee and was awarded the Biven's Funderburke Award for missions from the UBA. He has taught as adjunct faculty at Wingate University and in 2013 was awarded the Center Stage Award from Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the Distinguished Music Educator of the Year award from Yale University. He has served as Moderator of the Union Baptist Association.
     During the day, Frank works as the Arts Coordinator & Mentor Facilitator for Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts in the Union County Public School System and as a private piano instructor. Frank is married to his  wife Holly and they have one son Trevor.
