About The Youth:
WHO WE ARE:
The youth fellowship of New Salem Baptist provides a weekly group time for all students in grades 6-12 & college  to meet together for fellowship, music, and to study topics that are relevant to today's teens. They meet each Sunday evening at 6:00 pm and Wednesday at 7:00 pn for Y.O.M.  (Youth on Mission)

WHAT WE DO:
We organize special offerings each year such as our "Souper Bowl Offering" in February, our Baptist Children's Home (BCH) "Food Round Up" in April and an offering for the BCH November. We organize Bingo nights for the residents at the Union Park Assisted Living Center and go out for"RAK" (Random Acts of Kindness) in our community. We also attend summer camps at the NC Baptist Assembly at Caswell and have been on mission trips up and down the east coast to places such as Tampa FL, York, PA, Atlanta GA, Baltimore MD, Pikeville, KY and Asheville NC in recent years. We participate in many UBA events and other community fellowships as well as host a Youth Sunday on the last Sunday in August of each year. We work with hundreds of students for Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes and attend The Big God Conference at Myrtle Beach for New Years each year.

WHEN WE MEET:
We get together each Sunday evening from 6 to 7:15 pm for fellowship through games, refreshments and to study topics relevant to teens today. We invite all area youth to visit our group to see that God is growing strong young men and women through our fellowship together filled with fun, music , games and exciting times.  We also meet on Wednesday evening going out in the community for visiting, various mission work helping at local shelters and in our community.
