 I John 2:18-29, "Encouragement  To Stick with the Truth"

Why did John encourage believers to stick with the truth?

1.  There were men who pretended to be teachers who were really against Christ (2:18-19, 22-23).

2.  The people needed encouragement because members of the church had forgotten that they themselves had the power of God in their lives (2:20-21, 24-27).

3.  The church needed encouragement because some may have been led astray in their conduct (2:28-29).
